Navigational Technology (Bachelor/ Four-year degree system, Bachelor of Engineering)

I. Professional Orientation

The Bachelor of Navigational Technology is a comprehensive applied major with a long history, which is also an inclusive and practical major with international competitiveness.

The Bachelor of Navigational Technology is following the orientation which is identified by SDJTU, ‘training the students to be front-line engineers and manager with growth power ’; it is based on the theories of Transportation, Vehicle Operation Engineering etc; it is based navigation of informationization, digitization and intelligent as the major direction; and cultivating the high quality applied talents who adapt to production of the Marine Shipping enterprise and institution and the manager who are needed for the front-line.

II. Training Objectives

The Bachelor of Navigational Technology cultivates high level applied navigational talents, they adapt to the needs of the economy and social development; it is comprehensive development in education; they mater the skills of modern principles of navigation and practice; they have the abilities to ship-handling and transportation management; they can engage the job of ship-handling, shipping management, maritime management, teaching etc in shipping enterprise and institution, government administration and education and training institutions; they are suitable for the modern development of shipping industry, and they have the power of international competition.
