I. Professional Orientation
The Bachelor of Undergraduate Program for Safety Engineering is a new comprehensive applied major, which is fitted for global economy at the service of Maritime transportation industry. The Bachelor of Undergraduate Program for Safety Engineering is following the orientation which is identified by SDJTU, ‘training the students to be front-line engineers and manager with growth power ’; it is based on the theories of Transportation, Vehicle Operation Engineering etc; it is based navigation of informationization, digitization and intelligent as the major direction; and cultivating the high quality applied talents who adapt to production of the Marine Shipping enterprise and institution and the manager who are needed for the front-line.
II. Training Objectives
The Bachelor of Maritime Management cultivates high level applied navigational talents, they adapt to the needs of the economy and social development; it is comprehensive development in education; y they mater the skills and knowledges of modern principles of port engineer and management, navigation project, shipping safety technology and management, and so on; they can engage the job of port safety technology and management, port safety design and produce, port safety testing and monitoring, shipping safety technology and management, port and waterway safety education and training etc in shipping enterprise and institution, government administration and education and training institutions; they are suitable for the modern development of shipping industry, and they have the power of international competition.
