On the 30th of January, Taihua-Navigation college of SDJTU was founded.

In order to fully implement the Party's education policy, to enrich the systems of college and training, deepen industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation. In accordance with “in-depth cooperation, collaborative development, university-enterprise cooperation, cooperative education”, hence, Taihua-Navigation college of SDJTU was founded.

All the works will focus on the Safety of Maritime Transport, the Seaman Education and Training, Maritime High-end Talent Training and Reserve, the Research and Development of Navigational Equipments and so on, which remains to be the first-class of Navigational major, and to cultivate a larger number of high-quality and creative talents and talents with technical skills, the qualified staff and technical will be provided to satisfy the demands of our country’s maritime shipping.

It is reported that Navigation College has many corporations with Taihua  Ship Management Limited, this agreement sighed laid a solid foundation for deep collaboration.
