On 16^th of March, the “Haiyun forum” organized by Navigation College called <Talk to captains face to face> was held successfully. The forum is based on “Never forget why you started, and inherit navigational culture” to popularize navigational knowledge, carry forward navigational spirits and promote patriotic education.

At the beginning of the branding, the secretary of Navigation College Li Xitian presented the letter of appointment to “ Ten Captain” and special guests. Then, the captain introduced their learning and working experience to the students, which make the students have more direct feelings. Meanwhile, the forum discussed the skills that a great captain should have, and the influence and meaning of working experience on ships to the life, and how to choose job etc. The captain YU Bingan who is 70, told about the navigators’ past and present, the captains’ duty sincerely, which made the students at scene cheering and inspired students’ passion for navigation.

Therefore, the students can learn more industry knowledge according to inviting industry experts and captains. They can provide help for the students and give directions to them, which is an effective way to show the importance of the second classroom, it fully demonstrates the specialized characteristic education and the education concept of training professional consciousness. The  implement of this kind of activities helps the college to satisfy the demands of our country's maritime shipping.
